Llandudno man swaps a suit for a Navy career
A FORMER financial adviser is setting sail for a new career after joining the Royal Navy.
Simon Hesketh, 26, decided his life should take a new tack after being inspired by his younger brother’s army service.
Now a trainee air engineering technician, Simon has completed nine weeks of intensive training designed to transform him from a civilian into a sailor.
By joining the armed forces the former Ysgol John Bright pupil is following in the footsteps of his brother, Daniel, aged 23, who is a Lance Corporal serving in the Army.
Simon said: “I joined the Royal Navy for an exciting and varied career. I wanted to be part of a world class force and fight for our country.”
