Abergele teen is best in UK’s restaurant service

AN ABERGELE teenager has been named the UK’s best restaurant service professional.
Channon Morris, who attends Coleg Llandrillo, was honoured above 60 other candidates at the annual WorldSkills UK Competition.
“It was a great opportunity to compete at the World Skills UK platform. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience,” said the 19-year-old.
Dr Shyam Patiar, skills development director at the college, added: “I am absolutely delighted for Channon in achieving excellence at the highest level within the Hospitality and Restaurant Service.”
Channon was presented with her award by celebrity chef Brian Turner at the IMAX Cinema in London.
She is a Hospitality, Supervision and Leadership student at the college.
