Have your say on NHS reviews

Have your say on local health services

CONWY residents are being urged to attend a public meeting on health services in North Wales.

The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is currently undertaking a number of reviews into NHS services across the area.

Those services under review include maternity, neonatal, obstetric and paediatric services, and emergency general surgery services.

Darren Millar, AM for Clwyd West has organised the public meeting and has urged anyone who can to attend.

The aim is to ensure that the views of local people are able to influence decisions about local NHS services that affect people in this area.

When asked to comment Darren said: “There has been widespread public concern over the way in which some of these reviews are being conducted.

“The options being considered could result in some hospital services being downgraded or withdrawn from one or more of our three main North Wales hospitals in Bangor, Bodelwyddan and Wrexham.”

Mr Millar continued: “I have organised this meeting to ensure that the views of the people of North Wales are able to influence decisions about local NHS services at the earliest opportunity.

“It is important that there is maximum public engagement in these reviews.

“Anyone with an interest in North Wales NHS services should attend this meeting.”

The public meeting is taking place at 7pm on Friday, November 26, at Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan, Abergele.

Space at the meeting venue is limited and those wishing to attend should contact Darren’s constituency office on 01745 839117.
