Party in the Park raises £2,000 for voluntary group
A PARTY in the Park to mark the opening of a new play area proved a huge success on Saturday.
Hundreds of people enjoyed the event at Queen’s Park in Craig-y-Don, Llandudno, which saw the new £40,000 play equipment officially opened by Edward Hillier, chief executive of Mostyn Estates.
Mayor of Llandudno Ann Yates was guest of honour at the event which included a magic show by Peter the Great Magician, a fun dog show and various stalls and sideshows.
It’s believed the event has raised over £2,000 towards more improvements at the park planned by voluntary group Friends of Queen’s Park who raised the money for the playground.
Since it was formed 18 months ago the Friends have funded a new centrepiece for the park, provided benches, and planted trees and hedges.
