Watch local stars at Rowen’s Got Talent

THERE will be plenty of talent on show this weekend when Rowen’s Got Talent comes to the Ty Gwyn pub.

On the stage this Saturday, September 11, from 7.30pm will be a Dads garage band, who actually do practice in a garage. The successful Rowen school band, Parti’r Ddraig, will perform their famous rendition of I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing. They reached the Urdd Eisteddfod finals this year in Aberaeron, and all the pupils are from years 3 to 6 in Ysgol Rowen. They have been taught by Jen Williams, the key stage teacher at the school.

Former Rowen pupil Rachel Miles will sing with her guitar.

The night will be capped with Gai Toms who in 1992 co-formed the popular Welsh language ska rock band Anweledig and between 1997 an 2007 performed using pseudonym Mim Twm Llai.
