Conwy River Festival race entries down by 40%
CONWY River Festival was a huge success, despite race entries being down by 40%.
The week-long annual festival, which had a range of activities on Conwy Quay, as well as the famous Nobby boat race, pulled in huge crowds to Conwy, especially last weekend.
One of the organisers Terry Worthington said: “Sailing entries were down quite a bit this year, but then even Cowes on the Isle of Wight was down by 40%.
“I think it’s because people are reigning in their horns because of the uncertain economic situation.
“We were still busy all week, and it was great to see Conwy Quay packed last weekend.”
