Conwy makes more of its Medieval heritage
A COLOURFUL range of medieval flags are flying all over the town of Conwy as business owners capitalise on its history.
The idea to fly the flags was dreamt up by Conwy’s revitalised chamber of trade.
Town councillor Sara Allardice, who is in the chamber of trade, said: “The idea was to make more of Conwy’s Medieval history. The flags are copies of Medieval ones from all over Europe and they look fabulous flying all over the town.
“More and more of the business owners are asking us for some as they realise the town looks much more colourful and cheerful. Everybody is commenting on them, from tourists to locals. The reaction has been really positive.”
