YOUNGSTERS from Llanfairfechan beat 200 young people from across Wales to be crowned best firefighters.
Young Firefighter Association (YFA) members came together at Loggerheads County Park near Mold for two days of activities and competitions.
This was the first time cadets from branches within North Wales Fire Service, Mid and West Wales Fire Service and South Wales Fire Service had come together.
Youngsters ageing from 11 to 17 undertook activities such as climbing, abseiling, caving and a giant zip-wire before pitting their skills against each other during a series of firefighting related competitions.
Llanfairfechan YFA were crowned overall winners.
Simon Wilson, youth worker for North Wales Fire Service, explained: “This was the first time such a weekend has been run on an all-Wales basis.
“It was brilliant to see youngsters from across the country coming together in North Wales.”
