A PENRHYN Bay woman has graduated as an RAF officer and will now train as an air traffic controller.
A former pupil at Ysgol John Bright in Llandudno, Victoria Gledhill, 27, graduated from Chester University with a BSc (Hons) in Business Information Systems before going to the training unit at RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire.
At the graduation ceremony Victoria joined 93 other cadets outside the historic College Hall to parade in front of Air Vice-Marshal J Lamonte, Chief of Strategy, Policy and Plans.
Victoria, whose parents Nigel and Judith live in Penrhyn Bay, said: “I’m now looking forward to the six-month air traffic control course at RAF Shawbury at Shrewsbury before being posted anywhere in the world.”
