A FRESH new face will soon be seen patrolling the villages around Abergele.
Special Constable Liam Gray, 19, will be joining his colleague PC Einion Huws on the beat as he trains for a foundation degree in Police Studies.
He has worked as a Special Constable for the past 12 months and despite working in Kinmel Bay Asda he manages to go on patrol for about 30 hours every week with North Wales Police.
Originally from Rhyl, Liam is delighted to be assigned to his new area: “Being a dedicated rural Special Constable is a new challenge for me.”
“I hope it will enable me to develop my skills and give me the experience I need to fulfil my ultimate ambition to become a police officer.”
Liam will be patrolling in the villages of Betws-yn-Rhos, Llansannan, Bylchau, Henllan, Llanelian, Llanefydd and Llanfair Talhaiarn.
PC Huws, who has been a North Wales Police officer for the past 10 years, said: “It is a great assistance having Liam to help cover this massive patch.”
