AN inquiry has been launched into neonatal services in Wales by the health, wellbeing and local government committee.
Of the 33,000 babies born in Wales each year, 4,000 are admitted to Wales’s 13 specialist units.
The committee will examine whether these units have sufficient funding and staff to cope with the demand which may emerge with increased birth rates.
