A MASSIVE 60ft model railway housed within a railway carriage is the latest attraction pulling in the crowds in Betws-y-Coed.
The 60ft model railway which includes 11 working trains, 34 wagons, two cable cars, a fairground, saw mill and underground line is the latest attraction at the Conwy Valley Railway Museum and model shop in Betws-y-Coed, run by passionate steam enthusiast Colin Birmingham.
The working model, which took over 11 months to build by a specialist in Weston Super-Mayor, is housed within the stationary restaurant carriage at Betws-y-Coed train station.
“Visitors can pay 50p to have a go and it’s proving very popular with children and adults alike,” said Marian Turner from the museum.
“Colin really wanted another working attraction for the museum and the model railway is fantastic, everyone loves it.”
Betws-y-Coed Railway Museum is open 10am to 5pm.
