Assault at nightclub
A MAN involved in an attack on a young woman and another man at a Llandudno nightclub on Monday received a four-month overnight curfew.
Bakery worker David Ricky Jones, 20, of Caer Felin, Llanrwst, was also banned from licensed premises at Llandudno for a year.
He must pay £100 compensation to each victim and £150 costs after admitting common assaults at the Broadway Boulevard last November.
Prosecutor James Neary said Jade Prosser and Todd Davies had been on a night out with friends when they were approached by Jones and another man.
She begged them to stop their aggressive behaviour towards Mr Davies but they were hit in the face.
Graham Parry, defending, told district judge Andrew Shaw at Llandudno court that Jones went to punch Mr Davies, missed, and a glancing blow caught Miss Prosser.
Youth denies affray
AN EIGHTEEN-year-old denied affray after an alleged incident at a Clwyd Alyn Housing Association property during which it’s claimed he armed himself with a knife.
Prosecutor Karen Mullin told Llandudno magistrates last week that Kieron Pritchard had been living at the property in Abbey Road and on May 17 had a confrontation with his cousin.
Pritchard had allegedly taken a knife from the kitchen. His cousin left the building but staff watched on CCTV as Pritchard ran about inside, Miss Mullin said.
The employees locked themselves in an office and alerted police. No-one was confronted with the knife, she added.
District judge Andrew Shaw agreed the court would hear the trial in July.
Pritchard, now of Esplanade, Penmaenmawr, was bailed and pleaded guilty to damaging a window.
