Dolgarrog based Global Rescue Water Incident Team hold fund raising evening in Llanrwst

AN evening of entertainment has been organised to help raise vital funds for a Conwy Valley water rescue team.

Global Rescue Water Incident Team will be holding a fund raising evening this Friday,March 6 with live music acts including Mick Marsh, local duo Ivor and Pam, and Brigarde Rossi topping the bill. There will also be a raffle with top prises up for grabs including a white water rafting session from JJ's in Llangollen, a choice of outdoor activities from Plas Y Brennen, a gorge walking or climbing session from North Wales Active, vouchers from Cotswolds and prises from Blacks the outdoor specialist. The fund raising evening will be held at the Pen Y Bryn in Llanrwst starting at 8pm. Tickets are on sale from the Pen Y Bryn or from Global Rescue members.

Money raised will go towards paying for training and equipment for the team who respond to flooding and swiftwater rescue incidents throughout the country.
