Cancer sufferer’s diet advice guide

A MAN given weeks to live is sharing his life-saving dietary advice.

Nutritional expert David Duvall, of Prospect Terrace, Llandudno, has published a book Let Me Help You Live , extolling the virtues of healthy eating after his strict diet brought him back from the brink.

David was given six weeks to live when diagnosed with cancer in his kidneys, lymph nodes, bones and prostate. Five years later, he is fighting fit and keen to share his life-saving tips.

David said: “I was told I had terminal cancer and when I was given such a short time to live I refused treatment.

“The doctors said medication would give me an extra three months, but as a qualified nutritionist I thought I would do it my own way.

“I stopped drinking alcohol or milk and cut out all kinds of junk food – anything with trans-fats and sugar in them. I just ate a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables, such as broccoli which is full of vitamins that help to beat cancer.

“My book is a guide to the healthy eating patterns that have saved my life. I haven’t had the all-clear yet, but still alive five years on, I think I’m doing all right!”
