Lane closed on A55 at Old Colwyn after lorry crash
RUSH hour traffic has come to a standstill after a smash on the A55.
One lane of the westbound carriageway is currently closed at Old Colwyn after a collision between a lorry and a car near Rainbow Bridge this afternoon.
Police officers are waiting for the vehicles to be recovered.
Injuries sustained are believed to be minor.
A North Wales Police spokeswoman said: "Lane one of the A55 westbound carriageway in Old Colwyn is currently closed following a road traffic collision.
"At 15:48 today North Wales Police received a report of a two-vehicle collision near to the Rainbow Bridge involving a lorry and a car.
"The Ambulance and Fire and Rescue Service were called but injuries are only believed to be minor.
"Recovery has been requested for the car.
"No further details are currently available."
