Man's body found in river at Trefriw

THE body of a man was found in a river in Trefriw last night (Wednesday).

A post mortem examination will be carried out today to establish the cause of death. Shortly after 6.30pm on Wednesday North Wales Police received a report that a body of a man had been found in the river.

Officers attended along with members of the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Team and the body was later recovered and transferred to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan.

Police enquiries are ongoing, but at this stage the death is not believed to be suspicious.
