A CONWY Valley choir hit the high notes recently while on a visit to the Welsh Air Ambulance base.
Glan Conwy-based choir, Cor y Nant visited the air ambulance’s base at Dinas Dinlle to see firsthand how their dedicated fundraising efforts help the vital rescue service.
As their visit was uninterrupted by a call-out, members of the choir were able to see the fully equipped helicopter, learn the history of the service and meet the pilot and paramedics.
“An engaging audio-visual presentation graphically demonstrated how vital this service is to our area and its life-saving capabilities,” explained choir member Joyce Audus-Williams.
“Capturing the golden hour – those first vital minutes after injury, which can mean the difference between life and death, in a machine funded by donations like ours is quite some feat.
“A pleasant social evening followed which was enjoyed by all,” she added.
