Jewish man assaulted in Llandudno

A JEWISH man was the victim of a racially motivated assault in Llandudno last week.

At 10pm on Tuesday August 12 the 24-year-old was walking along Church Walks when he was grabbed and pushed to the floor by two men. The men then started to punch him in the face, then removed his religious headwear before running away. The 24-year-old was left shocked and with minor injuries.

Both men are described as white, around 18 years old and wearing light coloured clothing.

District Inspector Andy Broadhead said: “My team is determined to clamp down on violent crime and what makes this incident so disturbing is the fact it is racially motivated. This was a cowardly attack."

Police are appealing for witnesses and information.
