Warning of work on A470

ROAD resurfacing works will be carried out in Glan Conwy on the A470 trunk road next month.

Notice has been given by Conwy County Council and the Assembly of the work to be undertaken.

Resurfacing work will be carried out on the length of the trunk road at Glan Conwy which extends in a southerly direction from the Black Cat Roundabout (between the A470 and the A547 Conwy Road) to the 30mph speed restriction sign north of Glan Conwy Village.

Restrictions will be put in place in order to maintain adequate standards of safety for road users while the resurfacing work is carried out.

The resurfacing work will commence on Monday, September 1 until Tuesday, September 30, taking just over four weeks to complete.

Restrictions being put in place will be either a 40mph or 10mph speed limit along the length of the trunk road being resurfaced, and a 40mph speed limit will operate for the full extent of the works schedule.

Vehicles will not be permitted to overtake during the roadworks.
