Woman mugged at bus stop in Conwy

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a young woman was mugged at a bus stop in Conwy.

The incident happened at the bus stop on Castle Street at around 2.45pm on Sunday when the woman dropped money on the floor. She also had her bank card and driving licence in her hand and as she picked the money up. A man approached her from behind and snatched all the property. He then ran off into a nearby alleyway. The man is described as being white, of medium build, 5ft 8in tall with a skinhead.

PC Alex Baker said: "It was very busy in Conwy at that time as there was a festival going on and we believe someone must have seen the offender approaching the woman and then running away from the scene."
