PUPILS at Ysgol Aberconwy jumped for joy with their GCSE results today.
Sarah Roberts said: "I’m very happy with my grades and will be staying on at Ysgol Aberconwy to study for my A-levels. I’m going shopping now to celebrate!"
Classmate Rebecca Chesworth said: "I’m over the moon with my results. I’ve not told my mum yet but I’m sure she’ll be happy for me too. I think I will be going on to college after this."
Sophie Carr said: "I’m really excited about getting my results. I think I will go on to study performing arts now but first will be having a barbecue with friends and family today to celebrate."
Ysgol Aberconwy headteacher David Wylde was very proud of his pupils’ achievements: "Everyone at Ysgol Aberconwy is delighted with this year’s GCSE examination results. It is pleasing to see so many pupils achieving the success that they and their dedicated teachers have worked so hard for.
"There have been many pupils achieving high grades such as Alice Mackereth who achieved eight A*s and three As; Anna Parry with seven A*s and four As; and Bethan Williams with five A*s and six As.
"We look forward to welcoming our GCSE students back into the sixth form."
