PUPILS excelled themselves again this year at Ysgol Dyffryn Conwy in the Conwy Valley with their usual high number of A-level passes.
Well over three quarters (84%) of the pupils passed with a grade C or above in all subjects.
Head teacher Ifor Efans said that almost all the students had high enough marks to go onto further studies. He said: "It became evident quite early on results day that almost everybody had been accepted to study the subject of their choice at the University or College of their choice.
"Congratulations should be given to all concerned in this success, candidates, parents, teachers and members of the Governing Body," he said.
The Head wished all the now ex-pupils all the very best in their future studies and said he hoped they would return at a later date to visit the school.
During the first term of the new academic year scholarships will be presented to the high achieving pupils.
Success stories this year included high achievers Cemlyn Coirer-Roberts and Amber Smith who gained three A’s in Maths, Biology and Chemistry, Amber said: "I’m overjoyed with my results and I’m off to John Moores University after I’ve celebrated my results with my friends tonight in Bangor."
Other high scorers included James Evans and Martin Jones who got an A, two B’s and a C. Martin said he is off to the big city to set up a web design business.
He said: "I’m so happy with my results in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and ICT, I’m not going to University though as I’ve put a deposit on a flat in Manchester where I hope to set up my own business."
Llio Maddocks and Jessie Shaw also scored high with their A-level results this summer.
