STUDENTS are Ysgol Dyffryn Conwy in Llanrwst are celebrating after another exceptional success story with over 75% of the year group achieving A*-C.
Headmaster Ifor Evans congratulated all those involved and thanked all parties for their hard work and effort - pupils, parents, teachers, support staff, governors and friends of the school.
"In my opinion this has been a success for the whole community of Dyffryn Conwy," he said.
"What is also pleasing is that the success is spread across the majority of subjects, with A* grades being achieved across the subject range. A high percentage of successful GCSE students have indicated their wish to return to Ysgol Dyffryn Conwy in September to study further for AS and A-level standards.
The highest achiever was Siana Fflur from Llanddoged, who got six A*s and four A grades. She' staying on at the school to study her A-levels, possibly in science.
Rhodri Llwyd Roberts of Llanrwst gained five A*s and five As and is also staying at Dyffryn Conwy to study IT, maths and physics, and plans a career in accountancy.
Ffion Hughes from Llanrwst was celebrating four A*s and six As and plans A-levels in maths, psychology and PE.
Finally, Sion Gwynn of Trefriw was pleased with his five As, one A* and three Bs, and plans to study A-levels in technology, geography, maths and physics.
